Local Wood Housing Prototype

Following French Polynesia's impulse, in partnership with the Direction de l'Agriculture (DAG), for developing a locally-sourced bioclimatic house, this project is the first prototype to be built. Located in Moorea, the two-bedroom house is made of local wood and designed in accordance with bioclimatic architectural principles. The L-shape of the house and the outdoor corridors create several patios and covered areas that allow for a good ventilation and comfort. The building fits seamlessly in the surrounding forest.
